Costs

The total cost of this course is 1680 EUROS per participant comprising:

Training fees for phases 1, 2, 3. (1040 EURO) covering training material, course preparation, implementation and evaluation.
Subsistence cost for phase 2  (640 EURO) including full board and lodging at the training venue, study visits, minor medical care and a provision for incidental expenses.

Fellowships ( a partial fellowship covers 840 EURO)

There are limited scholarship funds available each year. The amount of scholarship funding is subject to decisions by our donor and varies from year to year.We are experiencing a cut in these funds and as a consequence the ITC ILO has changed its policy and from 2010 onward no full fellowship will be offered to candidates.

Eligibility

The ITC ILO  will only consider partial scholarship for those who come from a developing country, can stay for the entire program, and are not employees of U.N. agencies.

Selection criteria
The ITC ILO uses multiple criteria for awarding scholarships:

  • Individual works in a priority country for donor capacity development or meets specific criteria identified by a donor
  • Individual holds a position of influence that is likely to foster wider adoption of monitoring and evaluation practices.
  • Individual is willing to attend all phases (face-to-face and distance) of the program. Transportation is a large part of the expense, and so all else being equal, priority goes to those who can commit to attending all of the program.
  • Individual has direct evaluation responsibilities.
  • Gender balance.
  • Individual holds a position of influence within a recognized and legitimate non-government organization (NGO).
  • Individual has not attended prior ITC ILO programs and/or has not received prior scholarship assistance.
  • Individual is from a country where there has been limited prior ITC ILO attendance, where he or she is likely to disseminate lessons learned at ITC ILO or to mobilize resources within the organization on behalf of improved evaluation practice.
